Grading

Grading

Every individual book on our site will receive a grade, because we believe you should know what your buying.  We will not grade a book higher than a NM, even if it looks perfect because grading is a very difficult system to manage and we are not perfect, sometimes things get missed. That being said, we try our best to grade things fairly and note any specific defects (pen marks, water damage, Staples, etc).  Please refer to the high resolution pictures for each book to determine the grade.  As a standard, we use this scale:

• Near Mint (NM)
• Near Mint Minus (NM-)
• Very Fine/Near Mint (VF/NM)
• Very Fine Plus (VF+)
• Very Fine (VF)
• Very Fine Minus (VF-)
• Fine Plus (FN+)
• Fine (FN)
• Fine Minus (FN-)
• Very Good/Fine (VG/FN)
• Very Good Plus (VG+)
• Very Good (VG)
• Very Good Minus (VG-)
• Good/Very Good (GD/VG)
• Good Plus (GD+)
• Good (GD)
• Good Minus (GD-)
• Fair (FA)
• Poor (PR)
